support the Trust through one off donations or legacy
giving/bequests. Alternatively there is the opportunity
to provide volunteer support. And don’t forget, if you
have a project in mind that you’d like funding for, then
please do get in touch. We’ll be happy to consider
your proposals and investigate the best way for
The Sidmouth Trust to support your project.
Typical Projects
The Trust is looking for exciting projects to shape Sidmouth and the surrounding area. These could include:
• Enriching the River Sid: to bring the return of fish, otters and other wildlife. Perhaps building a fish ladder at the bottom of the Byes?
• Transforming the seafront: to allow for that fullest use of the sea and beaches. What about having a jetty?
• Extending open spaces: to further develop the Byes, the Knowle and other parklands. Potentially extending the area covered by the Byes?
• Creating cycle routes: to open up cycle access to Sidbury and Feniton. Perhaps a cycle and pedestrian bridge over the A3052 towards Feniton?
• Supporting our schools: to maximise the educational opportunities of our youngsters. Maybe a new community gym, an enhanced arts facility, a music school or a catering college.
• Keeping everyone healthy: to ensure those who live, work or visit Sidmouth stay healthy. Could a Health and Wellbeing Centre be built?
